Tai Chi Chuan Essence and Essentials, on Monday May 13

This online class will discuss the essential principles and specific practices that make Tai Chi Chuan so valuable for mental and physical well-being, and as a martial art.

This initial session is being offered for free so there is a low barrier for entry. If interest is sufficient, there will be additional online classes.

This session is intended for those who are already familiar with a Yang-style Short Form, such as the Short Form of GM William C.C. Chen or Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing.

The teacher, David B. Alexander, has studied steadily with Grandmaster Chen since 1983 (and before that with Herman Kauz), especially in the last 15 years. That includes assistant teaching for those last 15 years, and accompanying GM Chen by invitation for many workshops to assist and at times to run classes alongside the workshops. These workshops took place multiple times in Massachussets, upstate New York, and near Washington D.C. In addition, David has taught independenty for over 30 years.
